ENDORSEMENT OF THE ACCOUNTABILITY INSTITUTE

The South African Chamber of Business (SACOB) takes pleasure in endorsing THE ACCOUNTABILITY INSITUTE for South Africa. SACOB members are urged to identify with AISA, the aims and objectives of which are encapsulated as follows:

1. The Accountability Institute for South Africa (AISA) is a not-for-profit organization established to promote the practice of non-financial accountability across the public, private and not for profit sectors.

2. AISA is dedicated to the development of appropriate non-financial accountability frameworks for the South African region and does this through its research program. AISA undertakes action research projects with committed enterprises to develop, implement and document their non-financial accountability processes and to make these experiences available to other organisations.

3. Established in November 1999, AISA has been working with strategic organizations and institutions in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors and now wishes to forge a strategic partnership with a representative structure/organization for business.

4. AISA approached SACOB to endorse its mandate and facilitate its engagement with the business sector. SACOB has agreed to endorse AISA and work with it, where possible, to promote the concept and practice of non-financial accountability.
